Knife crime assault concern
Andrew Rodger
POLICE have reported two serious knife related crime incidents to councillors.
Speaking at Wednesday’s Levenmouth area committee meeting, the area’s chief inspector, Graeme Kinmond, included in his monthly report details of the attacks.
The first took place in East Wemyss and involved a 23-year-old woman who received injuries which were apparently caused by a knife.
A 21-year-old man has already appeared before the courts in relation to the incident and has been remanded in custody.
The second incident has been classed as an attempted murder and involved five teenagers, ages ranging from 15 to 19, who were caught by police officers after a man was assaulted, again with a knife suggested as the weapon, on Leven Road, Kennoway.
Area councillor Andrew Rodger told the meeting: “This knife crime really concerns me.”
