A Leven duo have many an uphill climb in front of them after taking on a challenge to climb ten Munros in just five days – all in the name of charity.
Graham Findlay (30) and James Ewing (31) will be taking on the mountainous task later this month to raise funds for Parkinsons UK and Cancer Research UK, in memory of Graham’s partner Joanne Dickson’s grandparents.
The boys have dubbed the mammoth challenge the ‘5 Day, 10 Munro, 69km’ challenge, and have already been up Ben Vorlich in preparation.
James, a graphic designer for John Young Signs, said: “We’ve been training hard over the last couple of months – we just hope the midgies keep away!”
James and Graham, an estimator for Oceaneering, aren’t the only ones taking on a challenge for charity – Joanne is taking part in a headshave to provide wigs for cancer sufferers.
The trio have offered their thanks to local businesses who have sponsored the trip, all detailed on their Facebook page, ‘Hair Today Walk Tomorrow’.
