A Leven-based family business known for its selection of tasty dips has been chosen by Aldi to create an own label line for the retailer.

Dip Nation, established in 2009 by husband and wife team Jeremy and Juliet Williams, has secured a £180,000 deal.

The business has experienced significant growth year-on-year since its launch and, thanks to the Aldi contract, is on track to continue this growth in 2014.

“We love the fact that Aldi actively seeks to work with local Scottish suppliers, offering the highest quality products at great prices,” said Jeremy Williams, managing director.

“As a company we take great pride in the quality of our products and its rewarding to know Aldi customers will benefit from this. We look forward to growing our relationship with Aldi in 2014 and beyond.”

Richard Holloway, managing director for Aldi in Scotland, said building relationships with local producers was very important in providing the best new Scottish products at everday low prices.

“We trialled Dip Nation in our stores last year and the products flew off the shelves. I’m sure our customers will be delighted to see these dips back in store.”
