A GLENROTHES woman turned in a fantastic performance to take a regional title.

Louisa Ramsay won the Women’s Open at the Fife Table-Tennis Championships.

She defeated defending champion, Wendy Thomson, from Cupar’s Dalgairn Centre, 2-0 to take the Disability Sport Fife title - her first success.

DSF President, Richard Brickley, said: “Louisa attends the VORTEX weekly table-tennis sessions at Fife Institute on Monday evenings and her play has improved considerably under the watchful eye of coach Wilma Catignani.

The championships were held as part of the annual Fife Sports Festival, organised by DSF and also held at the Institute.

Anyone who would be interested in joining the table-tennis sessions can telephone 08451, extension 444989, or e-mail: norma.buchanan@fife.gov.uk
