Motorists and pedestrian hurt

TWO drivers suffered minor injuries following an accident involving three vehicles on the A915 Standing Stane Road, near to the Check Bar Road junction, at 4.15pm on Thursday.

An 87-year-old male driving a black Peugeot 307 and a 39-year-old female driver of a silver Ford Focus were both taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for check-ups.

The 64-year-old male driver of the third vehicle, a silver Volkswagen Polo, was uninjured.

Police were in attendance as large tailbacks built up in both directions, as it reached the evening rush hour.

The road was blocked until around 7.10pm, when the two cars belonging to the injured drivers were removed.

Meanwhile, following an accident in Leven last Tuesday, a 67-year-old female pedestrian suffered broken bones.

The woman was involved in an accident with a grey Nissan Qashqai on the A955 Scoonie Road, near its junction with the Scoonie roundabout at about 4.55pm.
