MP praises affordable housing development

A NEW affordable housing development in Lochgelly has been praised by MP Gordon Brown following a visit.
Mr Brown said that the development of 13 homes at Hugh Place, is helping to sustain local jobs in the construction industry at a very difficult time and is providing local people with the opportunity to find a new home that they can afford.
He said: “I want to congratulate Fife Housing Association for being willing to try a number of initiatives to meet the diverse housing needs in our communities.”
The homes, provided by PACT Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fife Housing Association comprises of a mix of two and three bedroomed semi-detached houses and a small terrace of three studio villas. Prices start at £75,500.
Fife Housing Association’s technical services director said: “We wanted to be able to provide a new generation of homes that offered the best possible value to an increasingly price aware market place.”
