North East Fife and Glenrothes election results

BOTH Sir Menzies Campbell and Lindsay Roy have held their seats in the Fife North East and Glenrothes constituences.

RESULTS

FIFE NORTH EAST

Sir Menzies Campbell, Liberal Democrat, 17,763 votes (44.3%), a decrease of 7.8%.

Miles Briggs, Conservative, 8,715 votes, (21.8%), an increase of 2.3%.

Mark Hood, Labour, 6,869 votes, (17.1%), an increase of 4.4%.

Rod Campbell, Scottish National Party, 5,685 votes (14.2%), an increase of 3.8%.

Mike Scott-Hayward, UK Independence Party, 1,032 votes, (2.6%), an increase of 1.2%.

Sir Menzies Campbell held the seat with a majority of 9,048 votes (22.6%).

Turnout was up 1.5% at 40,064 (63.6%)

GLENROTHES

Lindsay Roy, Labour, 25,247 votes (62.3%) an increase of 10.4%.

David Alexander, Scottish National Party, 8,799 votes (21.7%), a decrease of -1.6%.

Harry Wills, Liberal Democrat, 3,108 votes (7.7%), a decrease of 5.0%.

Sheila Low, Conservative, 2,922 votes (7.2%), an increase of +0.1%.

Kris Seunarine, UK Independence Party, 425 votes (1.0%), a decrease of -0.1%.

Lindsay Roy held the seat with a majority of 16,455 votes (40.6%)

Turnout was up 3.5% at 40,501 (59.7%).
