North east Fife MSP Roderick Campbell has praised the area’s ‘Rural Leaders’ following a Scottish Enterprise Rural Leadership Programme event in Parliament.

A programme run by the Scottish Agricultural College, ‘Rural Leaders’ – senior decision makers from a diverse mix of rural occupations including farmers, people involved in tourism, food and drink, estate managers, the processing sector, supply trade and many other rural businesses – are given the chance to visit Holyrood, Westminster and the European Parliament in a bid to get a solid understanding of how the different levels of government affect rural communities and industries.

Mr Campbell said: “The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand about the different kinds of work they are doing. I was delighted to see that leaders from north east Fife were able to attend too, including representatives from Cambo Estate and KETTLEproduce, and I hope that all those who attended found their visit to the Scottish Parliament informative and useful.”
