Claire Baker MSP has contacted Scottish Power following the traffic chaos which ensued last week during emergency cable repairs.
Drivers in and around Leven experienced lengthy delays at the Scoonie roundabout, as temporary four-way traffic lights were put in place.
Commenting, Ms Baker said: “Everyone appreciates that, from time to time, essential work and maintenance has to be carried out. However, all must be done to limit traffic disruption and it is vital that the proper traffic management scheme is put in place.
“It is clear this failed to happen in Leven and I have had constituents write to me complaining of 80-minute delays as they headed to work. This is simply unacceptable.
“In setting up a traffic management system, it is important that the flow of traffic and local knowledge is taken into account.”
