Fife Gingerbread has been recognised with another award, this time from fellow Fife organisation Fife Voluntary Action.

The Fife charity was awarded the ‘Volunteer Friendly’ award, presented by Sarah Latto, in recognition of its excellent work with volunteers.

The Volunteer Friendly award is a Quality Standard for organisations that provide excellent training, support and recognition for their volunteers. Organisations who wish to achieve the award have to complete a portfolio of evidence which is then assessed by Fife Voluntary Action.

Sarah said: “Fife Gingerbread is a great organisation and fully deserves this award. They provide a wide range of fun, meaningful and supportive volunteering roles, and they aren’t afraid to involve volunteers in high profile projects.”

Michelle Campbell, volunteer development co-ordinator for Fife Gingerbread, said: “Volunteers are a fundamental part of our organisation, so we are delighAted to be recognised as ‘Volunteer Friendly’.”
