RESIDENTS of Kingsbarns are being invited to an event to find out about the Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan for their village.

Fife Council has prepared the appraisal and plan to help identify the special historic and architectural interest of the conservation area. It will also identify any future measures needed to protect and enhance the village.

A copy of the draft plan is available in the village post office and staff from the local authority will be available to answer any queries relating to it at the Community Council meeting in the Memorial Hall on Monday, November 5 at 7pm.

Cllr Frances Melville, said: “The appraisal of our conservation areas is a very valuable exercise and will help us to continue to protect and enhance our existing conservation areas and develop measures to protect their special status.

A copy can also be download at www.fifedirect.org.uk by searching for ‘conservation areas appraisals’.
