It’s now less than five weeks until the annual Leven Rose Queen Ceremony and Civic Week, and the Queen herself has been announced.

Tia Armour, a primary seven pupil at Mountfleurie Primary School, will take to the stage on the day, backed by her seven attendants - Lauren Coote, Emma Justice, Abby Lloyd, Kirsty Swan, Chloe Wood, and page boys Josh Ellis, Joshua Bastable and Matthew Wilkie.

The ceremony, on Saturday, June 14, will be held at Carberry House, followed by the parade at 3.00p.m. As with last year, there will be lots to keep the family entertained, such as crafts stalls, tea and beer tents, bouncy castle and children’s entertainer.

Famous faces will also be there - look out for Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, and A1 mascots Izzy and Carter.

The civic week celebrations include the traditional service at Leven Baptist Church and care home visits on the Sunday, ladies bowls competition on the Monday, Panda Picnic and school disco on the Tuesday, a domino tournament in memory of Jimmy Drysdale on the Wednesday, and party night on the Friday.

There are still stall pitches available on the Saturday - visit www.levencivicweek.btck.co.uk or call 07434198426.
