SCENTRAL Park is the clever new name of a sensory garden unveiled at a special anniversary celebration.

Residents from West Wemyss and neighbouring villages gathered on Saturday to mark the first birthday of social enterprise symbol the West Wemyss Walk Inn.

Music, stalls and games, for adults and children, were complemented by the opening of the sensory garden, which contains a wishing well, herb wheel, and a rock garden planted by local children, who all signed the cobbles.

The name plaque was unveiled by the children who helped create it, and by Anita Dryburgh, whose late mother, Helen Pollock, inspired the garden.

Villagers said she would have loved the feature and hoped the community would also enjoy it.
