The Scottish Snowdrop Festival begins tomorrow (Saturday) with several local venues taking part.
Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse, near Cupar; Balmerino Abbey, Lindores House, near Newburgh, and the Centre for Stewardship in Falkland are participating in this year’s event, which is being held as part of Homecoming Scotland 2014.
In all, 53 gardens throughout Scotland will be showcasing displays of snowdrops until March 16.
Richard Pinn, VisitScotland regional director, said: “This year we are welcoming the world to Scotland with some huge events on the nation’s calendar, including the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Ryder Cup and the Homecoming Scotland 2014 events programme.
“The Snowdrop Festival, part of the Homecoming Scotland calendar, offers a wonderful opportunity for visitors at these locations throughout the Kingdom of Fife to see these beautiful displays and is a fabulous way to kick start this very special year.”
