A man has been detained following the death of a 17-year-old in Methilhill early on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to Simon Crescent at around 2.10 a.m. and an investigation is now underway.
Enquiries are on-going at this time, and cordons have been put in place in and around Simon Crescent which will cause residents some disruption.
Police say every effort will be made to minimise the disruption caused, but the residents of Simon Crescent and the surrounding area are asked to be patient while enquiries are underway.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police are investigating the murder of a 17-year-old man following a disturbance in Simon Crescent, Methil at around 2.10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8.
“A man has been detained in connection with this incident.”
If anyone has any information on the incident, they are asked to make themselves known to an officer in Simon Crescent, Methilhill or phone Police Scotland on 101.
