Specsavers charity boost

THE St Andrews branch of Specsavers were delighted to play hosts to some special visitors last week as the shop continues to raise money for a worthy cause.
Last week staff managed to raise around £500 for Guide Dogs for the Blind with their latest fundraising initiative involving a photocall with staff member Julia Campbell kitted out as Penny the Dog and members of North East Fife Guide Dogs group.
And that’s not the last event the St Andrews branch will be staging.
A golf auction is being arranged for the end of the month and the team are still busy working out what else they can do to try and raise as much money as possible for their chosen charity.
“This is something we have decided to do at our branch,” Ross Scanlon, store manager said.
“Customers and staff have been great in getting involved and doing their bit to help us raise the money.”
