Splashing out on night in!
Girls Big Night In raised 980 for Maggie's Fife
A NIGHT in with the girls is always guaranteed to be fun.
Kirkcaldy woman Lorraine Carruthers decided to make her girls’ night in a big one, by laying on special events and charging a fee for charity.
Her Girls’ Big Night In started three years ago and has raised over £2600 in aid of our Maggie’s Centre in that time, including this year’s event which raised £984.
Over 50 ladies around Fife attended the event at Lorraine’s House in Kirkcaldy, where they were invited to take part in various beauty and treatment sessions, tarot readings, a raffle and tombola.
The main attraction of the night was the swap shop where everyone brought along clothes, shoes, jewellery and handbags to swap.
Lorraine said: “It’s a great night. We have such a laugh and catch-up with each other while raising funds for a great cause. The mixture of activities and swapping clothes works really well.”
Tu Edwards, from Maggie’s, said: “Thanks to Lorraine, her daughter Katie and everyone who volunteered and supported the event, which is a brilliant excuse to get together with the girls.”
