QUANTITY surveying learner Susan Wilson, from Windygates, is the first student from Adam Smith College to become a full member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) through the Professional Experience Route (PER).

Susan, who works with Fife Council, has finished a BSc in quantity surveying at the college’s future skills centre and was encouraged by her lecturers to apply for full professional status of RICS.

After submitting an application and completing an interview process, Susan was delighted to hear she had met all the criteria and was one of the first students through PER to receive chartered status.

Susan said: “Gaining these qualifications has already helped me secure promotion within the council and become involved in new projects and activities.”
