People in Levenmouth are being invited back to Buckhaven’s Friendship Club as it starts back up after a summer break.

The club, which held its first meeting in March, was organised for former minister Peter Carr, and is now host to a number of regulars every week.

Peter said: “We had about 12 regulars coming to the club every week.

“We’ve definitely established that there is a need for it, and Buckhaven Community Centre was very keen to keep it going.”

Although it has been predominantly women who have been coming along to the club, which meets every Thursday between 3.30 - 4.30 p.m., Peter is keen to stress that the club is for anyone of any age, who is in need of a bit of company and fancies a cup of tea and a chat.

“There is still the possibility to take this into other areas as well, “ he said.

“But maybe this might inspire other people to start their own clubs up around Levenmouth - it doesn’t have to be run by us.”
