New volunteers are wanted for Home-Start East Fife, which provides a unique service for families by offering support and friendship for parents with young children at home.

From Auchtermuchty to Anstruther, Tayport to Lundin Links, volunteers visit families at home each week, offering support to parents facing isolation, illness, bereavement, multiple births, disability, or who are just finding parenting a struggle.

The volunteers provide practical and emotional support to build parents’ confidence and ability to cope, assisting in preventing family breakdown and crisis.

If you have three or four hours a week to spare, have parenting experience and would like to help support a family in their own home, the group would love you to join their team. The next Volunteer Preparation Course starts this month, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30am to 2.30pm over four weeks.

For more information or to apply, please pop into the Home-Start East Fife office at 158 South Street, St Andrews, call 01334 477548, email admin@homestarteastfife.org.uk or see www.home-start-eastfife.org.uk
