Showcasing the talents of local people in a competition proved a popular and successful fundraiser.

The Boathouse Bar and Restaurant in Anstruther organised a series of talent shows based on the television show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.

The contest culminated in a grand finale, when the talented singer Carrie Forgan took the winning spot just ahead of the comedy act of Michael Bamrick.

The nights were used as fundraisers and made £1500 for two very worthy causes, the RNLI at Anstruther and Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.

“It was a great success on two fronts, both in the support from the local community and in that we could support two charities,” said manager Blane McKnight. “We’d like to thank everyone for their donations and, more importantly, everyone who was brave enough to step up and take the challenge.”
