Local rockers’ van is a real work of art

Local band Break The Butterfly discovered hitting the road on tour in Germany was not all glamour on the transport front.

Unlike their recent all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona, when they represented Europe in the global Hard Rock Rising battle of the bands, this tour involved clocking up the miles in a Transit van.

But while the banana-coloured van left Levenmouth with just a humble home-made Break The Butterfly logo, it finished as a work of art, having been transformed by a graffiti artist to become part of an arts festival.

The paint job was not the only surprise of the tour, which saw the band play to audiences of up to 2500 and get good coverage in the German press - traffic delays saw them miss their ferry back to the UK and they ended up playing a hastily arranged gig in Amsterdam on Sunday night.
