Lochgelly Fire Station had a visit from local primary school pupils after fire chiefs turned a patch of station ground over to them to grow vegetables.

Pupils from Lochgelly South Primary School, Lumphinnans Primary School and St Patricks RC Primary School visited Blue Watch at Lochgelly Fire Station to help pull out their vegetables they had planted earlier in the year.

Lochgelly Fire Station provides gardening ground for these local primary schools, integrating the children with each other and the service. In early June the pupils planted a variety of vegetable and flowers and have now reaped the rewards of their efforts.
