Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with an assault at Glenrothes bus station last week.

A 32-year-old male was arrested in connection with the incident and was due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Thursday).

The incident, which involved a male being assaulted with a glass, took place at the town centre station on February 2.

Community Sergeant Kenny Greig said officers had worked ‘extensively’ to trace the man, and reassured the public that incidents such as this are rare in the town.

He thanked the public for their support during the investigation.
