A man has been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after police in Levenmouth recovered a cannabis cultivation in Buckhaven.

As part of ongoing enforcement activity to tackle drug crime in the region, local officers carried out a search of a property in Swallow Crescent on Tuesday, November 10 where a number of plants worth £3000 were seized from within the accommodation.

The 33-year-old will appear in court at a later date.

Sergeant Robert Gassner said: “Targeting drug crime is a key aspect of our Local Area Plan for Levenmouth and we will continue to utilise information from the public to identify offenders and remove them from our communities.

“Levenmouth residents have made it clear they do not want drug dealers in their area and through this activity we are working hard to address drug-related criminal activity throughout the region.

“Once again, I would like to thank our communities for their support as we continue our relentless pursuit of drug dealers.”
