It was a very special day for Margaret Jack when she celebrated her 100th birthday last week.
Margaret, known as Meg, was born on October 17, 1913 at 91 High Street, Dysart.
The family later moved to 105 High Street, known then as Weavers Row, and Meg eventually moved on to 28 Relief Street and again at a later time to 28 Howard Place, Dysart where she stayed for 53 happy years.
She now resides in Wilby House Care Home.
In her younger days Meg worked as a weaver in Meikles carpet factory where she gave 45 years of service.
She also loved to be involved in Scottish country dancing with the YWCA and had the honour to dance in front of the then Princess Elizabeth, now HRH Queen Elizabeth II, at the Royal Albert Hall.
Meg also loved to travel around Europe and she also visited America and Australia.
Her last trip saw her going on a cruise just after her 90th birthday.
