Summer sometimes heralds a time of leisurely bike rides in the beautiful Fife countryside.

But not so for some dedicated gym goers in Methil.

They donned their trainers for something of the more hard-core variety, taking part in a three hour sponsored ‘spinathon’ in a bid to raise some much needed cash for charity.

Nineteen members of Culture Health and Fitness, alongwith instructors Nicki Blyth, David Birrel, Louise
Johnstone and Ben Smith, took part
in the impressive feat on July 4, and managed to raise a fantastic £320
for Motor Neuron Disease Association.

Nicki said: “We held a similar event last year for Cancer Research, but decided we wanted to help out another good cause again this year.”
