Methilhill Primary School pupil Kaitlin Brown was the winner of a poster competition for P5-7 pupils, who were asked to come up with a design which best symbolised ‘My Methilhill’ and what their home village meant to them.

Around 30 finalists were involved and Kaitlin received her prize from none other than the Scottish Parliament’s Presiding Officer, Tricia Marwick MSP, who was back on home territory on Monday, with Kirkcaldy MSP David Torrance, for a visit as part of Holyrood’s Parliament intiative, in which Scottish Parliamentary teams visit communities around Scotland (picture by Andrew Cowan/Scottish Parliament Corporate Body 2014).
