The mother of a Kirkcaldy teenager who died after an early-morning road crash has paid an emotional tribute to her son.
Brian Phimister (16), died at the scene after the BMW 3 Series car he was a passenger in crashed into a tree on the A955 between Dysart and the Coaltown of Wemyss early on Friday morning.
Today his mother, who chose not to be named, said: “Brian was a much loved son and brother and his presence will be sadly missed by everyone he knew.
“The family respectfully request to be left to grieve at this difficult time.”
The 18-year-old male driver of the car was seriously injured in the collision.
Police have appealed for any information about the crash which happened around 12.50 a.m.
