The Fife branch of the MS (multiple sclerosis) Society organises ‘FeetDreams’, an annual sponsored walk to raise funds for the branch.
This year, the 60th anniversary year of the MS Society, the Fife MSers have decided the money raised from the walk will be donated to the research team in Edinburgh SCRM, one of the world’s leading facilities in finding new treatments for this debilitating and difficult illness.
Two young local girls contacted the FeetDreams organisers last week – Abi (4) and Jane (5) Bain, from Colinsburgh, wanted to take part in the walk in support of their dad Andrew, who has the condition.
The walk, on Saturday, August 31, will start from the Crusoe Hotel in Lower Largo at 10 a.m. and end at Anstruther harbour.
The girls, led by Adele Rodger (10), of Lundin Links, will walk part of the course, through Earlsferry and Elie, starting at 12.30 p.m. This part of the walk is suitable for people with slight walking difficulty, chair users, and young children, and the organisers hope to see some of their ‘less able’ friends joining in at Earlsferry.
