The West Wemyss Community Trust is to run a series of free workshops for local women interested in self employment.

‘Dreamers and Doers’ will start in May and will be held in a number of locations across Levenmouth, including West Wemyss and Buckhaven.

Aileen Aitken, the Trust’s community development coordinator, said: “Paid employment with felixble, family friendly hours doesn’t come along every day for women in the Levenmouth area. Starting a small business is a good way of turning skills and talents into cash. A lot of women don’t relalise that a business can grow from what they already know how to do or they worry that they couldn’t cope with the paperwork.

“Our Dreamers and Doers workshops will increase confidence by exploring what’s possible as well as providing lots of practical advice and linking women to ongoing business support groups and services.”
