Anstruther is the place to be on Saturday with two highlights of the summer calendar set to prove major draws.
The annual Anstruther Lifeboat Open Day will take place at the Lifeboat Shed between 11am and 3pm, when visitors will be able to look over both the lifeboats.
Many of the crew will be in attendance and there will also be one of the RNLI Flood Rescue Vehicles at the station to give visitors an insight into this new wing of RNLI service.
Meanwhile, the Scottish Fisheries Museum will be hosting its popular Open Day. This year the theme is ‘International’, with flags out to celebrate the Year of Homecoming and the Commonwealth Games.
Highlights of the day will be the inauguration of the sixth Fisherlass and Lad at the Folly at 4.15pm, followed by the prizegiving ceremony for the museum’s children’s art competition.
The rowing club is having an onshore display and there will be races in outer harbour
A fun-filled programme is planned and entry to all the exhibitions will be free.
