If you are a fan of ‘Strictly’ you will enjoy reading about Len Goodman.

It tells the true story of how a man born into poverty in London’s East End went on to find stardom later in life when he was chosen to be head judge on the show.

He talks about his new-found fame, his experiences on ‘Strictly’, and on the US show ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and his encounters with celebrities, learning to dance.

I really enjoyed learning about his early days in the east end and the fact that he wanted to be a professional footballer but his dreams were dashed after he broke his foot.

His doctor recommended he try ballroom dancing to aid his recovery and he discovered he was a natural! Len went on to win British championships and never looked back.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Len.

It was interesting, insightful as well as very entertaining.

If you tune in to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on Saturday nights I would recommend you give this book a read.
