The Adam Smith Theatre beckoned this week for the Hall of Fame team.
We always know it’s close to show time when we meet with the tech guys and start running through our schedule and list of ideas - and no matter what daftness we come up with, they take it all in their stride, and come up with suggestions which just add so much to the night.
With a few weeks to go everything is coming together nicely.
The format is nailed down, the stage set is ‘in production’ (as they say in showbiz), the guest list is filling up, and the who-does-what-and-when duties all good to assign.
The day of the show is a 12-hour shift, but it’s all great fun seeing it come together.
Can’t believe this is our fourth annual show. Not bad for a wee idea hatched over a beer while watching Alex Ferguson chat away on stage at the Alhambra - and one which has come so far from that very first show back in 2012.
So roll on a night in the company of Joe Jordan, ‘Arry Redknapp and legends galore from Raith Rovers.
And yes, the 2016 Hall of Fame show is already spinning around our heads.
Bruce in a box: Don’t usually buy box sets,.. but for Bruce Springsteen I’ll make an exception.
He has just gone and solved Christmas for all of us Boss-ites by releasing a ma-hoosive box set based around his 1981 double album ‘The River.’
In it we get four CDs and three DVDs plus the original single album it was meant to be, out-takes, session stuff and a hardback book not too mention live footage from a legendary performance back in the day.
Ach, no point wrapping it up - it won’t keep ‘til the 25th!
