Fab show: I ENJOYED being part of the backstage crew at our Face of Fife fashion show on Sunday. It was a fabulous event and the girls all looked amazing on the day. The clothes, provided by The Secret Wardrobe, were stunning and the jewellery from Eloise matched each outfit perfectly. I had my eye on a few of the outfits, particularly a trouser suit worn by Mariana which fitted her really well. But I couldn’t believe how small some of the girls were. Kitty’s kindly provided sandwiches and cakes for the finalists but after seeing how small some of the contenders were, I vowed to go on a crash diet the moment the show finished! What I liked most this year is that all the girls got on really well - they were all very friendly and even shared their shoes! They were a bit nervous to start with, but as soon as they had strutted their stuff along the catwalk they soon began to enjoy themselves. That’s what our Face of Fife competition is all about - having some fun!

Summer holidays: WELL it’s almost that time of year again ... time to think about my annual fortnightly summer break. Last year I was fortunate enough to have two trips abroad, but this summer I won’t be venturing out of Fife. Due to personal circumstances changing I am having to tighten the purse strings so am looking at places in the Kingdom I can visit. There will no doubt be the usual towns on the list such as St Andrews, but I am also thinking of spending some time in Edinburgh. I am hoping to visit the pandas at the Zoo and I may even head along to Edinburgh Castle. The only thing that concerns me about ‘staycations’ is the weather. At least when you go abroad you are guaranteed some sunshine! Fingers crossed the temperatures climb a little by the end of the month.

Show finale: THE last ever episode of “Desperate Housewives” aired at the weekend and it wasn’t the best. I really think they should have wound it up a few seasons ago. When the series started it was funny, quirky and a bit different. But the show’s creator has really struggled to come up with some decent storylines of late. I have also found the housewives themselves becoming more annoying. For the forseeable future we have said goodbye to Lynette, Gaby, Susan and Bree, but no doubt they will pop up again in some one-off special as glamorous elderly ladies in an old folks home, reminiscing over cups of tea and biscuits!

This week ... planned a night out with friends and enjoyed a birthday meal with family
