One of the reasons I love the festive season is that it’s the ideal time to look out a Christmas movie. And for me, it just wouldn’t feel like Christmas without the Muppet Christmas Carol. It is my favourite festive film. I love the Charles Dickens classic and I think the muppets help to bring it to life with a lot of humour. There are a lot of catchy songs in this film as well which definitely makes it one to watch on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Michael Caine is excellent in his role as the miserable and tight-fisted Ebenezer Scrooge and I liked the fact that the Great Gonzo played the role of the narrator, Charles Dickens. All the other favourite characters are there too including Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog, who plays the role of Scrooge’s long-suffering employee, Bob Cratchit. So if you are looking for something light-hearted to watch over the festive season I would throughly recommed this film. Not only is it an up-to-date version of a classic story but it is also very colourful, entertaining and full of fun.
