The second part of his stag took place in Kirkcaldy on Saturday and civilised and pleasant it was too, befitting men of our years... well, I certainly felt my age in some of the places we were in amid the realisation I’ve now reached the stage where my first thought on seeing an attractive young lady in a short dress was that she was going to feel the cold when she went outside again.
And one final observation - does Kirkcaldy hold the record for the most girls trying to look like Michelle Keegan?
Never forget: Friday, June 6 marks the 70th anniversary of one of the most important days of the last century. The Normandy landings changed the course of the Second World War, the beginning of the end for the Nazis. We should take a moment to reflect for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice and make sure each future generation knows what they did and why they did it.
Up for the Cup: Just a few days until the start of the only sporting event really worth bothering about this summer and with it being in Brazil, the kick off times are working-dad-of-two-young-children friendly as well!
The World Cup has always been special, ever since as a six-year-old in 1974, I couldn’t grasp how Scotland were put out despite not losing a game.
Four years later I was swept up in the euphoria of ‘Ally’s Tartan Army’ going to Argentina - never can a country have been so brainwashed into blindly following a leader into disaster...
It’s truly a worldwide event but let’s hope it’s the football we’re talking about and nothing else.
And who will win? Anyone but England... who else?
