A GROUP of Specsavers staff from their shop in Leven have climbed to the top of Ben Nevis to raise money for the RNLI.
Three of those who took part visited Anstruther Lifeboat shed to hand over a cheque for £920.
The sum was raised by six of the staff at Specsavers completing a sponsored climb up Ben Nevis back in August of this year when the weather conditions were a bit more favourable.
The group started the visit with a cup of tea and a biscuit with some of the Anstruther crew before being afforded a visit to the station that included a look over both the inshore and all-weather lifeboats.
Optometrist Adrian McCann said: “We were looking for a worthy cause to benefit from our efforts and being so close to the sea the RNLI was the obvious choice.”
