A FRAMED boxing glove signed by the late Sir Henry Cooper is being auctioned at a Kirkcaldy charity shop.
The special piece of memorabilia was donated to the town’s Cancer Research UK store by a supporter of the charity.
Bids are now being taken from those wanting to get their hands on the prized possession from one of the country’s most loved sportsmen.
And staff at the shop hope a silent auction will help Sir Henry’s glove raise a lot of money for the cancer charity.
The 20” x 30” frame features posters from each of the heavyweight boxer’s 40 career wins, as well as the signed glove and details of his career history.
Helen Brown, manager of the High Street charity shop, said: “We hope anyone interested in owning this signed glove will come in to the shop and place their bid.
“This is a fantastic thing for anyone who likes boxing.”
Anyone wishing to try their luck and take home this special piece of memorabilia should place their bid in the silent auction soon by either visiting the shop in Kirkcaldy High Street or by calling the team on 01592 206263.
The last day for bids to be cast is two weeks today - Thursday, June 23.
