Parkhill Primary School in Leven has won the local heat of annual Rotary Primary School Quiz 2014.
The quiz is run every year by all three Rotary Districts in Scotland and also by many clubs elsewhere in the UK.
The 26th annual local heat held on March 17 at Kirkland High School involved 10 schools where the questions covered a wide range of subjects including history, sports and games, transport and technology and current affairs.
The Parkhill team came out on top with a score of 106 out of a possible 120.
Runners up were St Agatha’s PS with Aberhill PS taking third place.
The winning team was presented with the Centenary Trophy with each member of the team also receiving a winner’s shield and every pupil who took part received a certificate.
Parkhill Primary School will now go on to compete with the winners of other heats at an area final held at Glenrothes High School on April 22.
There will then be District Final in Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom in June where the winners will receive a cheque for £500 for equipment for their school.
