Knitters for the Pittenweem Arts Festival have started their fifth annual community project.

Last year, the group helped to raise £2450 for CHAS and Cancer Research with its knitted flowers.

Now this year’s theme is ‘Cuthie Cusions’, and at the first meeting organisers were pleased to welcome more than 20 people.

But they are always looking for more folk to help and, even if you are a beginner, don’t be put off.

And for the first time, the group is also inviting quilters and patch-workers to add their craft skills to the project.
