A record total of £6500 was raised on Boxing Day in Anstruther’s annual intrepid leap for charity.

Over 30 participants turned up for the East Neuk Dook and helped gather the impressive sum for this year’s chosen charity, Multiple Sclerosis Fife.

Cash is still coming in and the Virgin money page will be open until the end of April for people who wish to donate.

“The weather was kind to us, although the water temperature was only two degrees – probably around the temperature of your fridge at home – and the air temperature even colder,” said co-organiser Fiona Corps.

Fiona also thanked everyone involved in organising and helping with the event for their “phenomenal” support.
