Police in Fife are appealing for information to help trace a man from Glenrothes who has been reported as missing. Ian Nicoll was last seen near to the Shell Garage on Roxburgh Road at 10.55 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29 in his blue Skoda Fabia. However, the 37-year old has not been seen or heard from since and concern is now growing for his welfare.
He is described as of white Scottish appearance, 6ft 1in tall and of medium build. He has red/auburn hair which is in a short/shaved style, he also has a short trimmed beard and moustache and was last seen wearing jeans, an orange t-shirt and a black/dark grey jumper, although his clothing may have changed.
Chief Inspector Nicola Shepherd said: “We are keen to establish Ian’s whereabouts as soon as possible and would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him since the 29th of April to come forward.
“Whilst we believe he may have left Fife and travelled south to the London area he may have stopped somewhere on that route and so we are keen to hear from members of the public who recognise his description.
“In addition, we would appeal to Ian to get in touch with friends, family or the police and let us know you are safe and well.”
Anyone who can assist in locating Ian is asked to contact the police immediately on 101.
