Police in Fife have renewed their appeal for information to help trace a missing man from Kirkcaldy.

Jason Cowie was last seen at around 7.15pm on Tuesday, May 3 in Hayfield Road, however, the 43-year-old has yet to return home or make contact with family or friends.

Inquiries are continuing to establish Jason’s whereabouts and anyone who believes they have seen him since Tuesday is asked to come forward.

He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall with a medium build and long dark hair in a ponytail.

Jason was last seen wearing a blue hat, black zip-up cardigan, blue jeans and blue trainers.

Inspector Graeme Neill from Kirkcaldy Police Station said: “It’s now been almost one week since the last sighting of Jason and as more time passes we obviously become increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“I would ask that anyone who knows where we can find Jason contacts police immediately.

“In addition, we would again ask Jason to get in touch directly so we can confirm he is safe.”
