Emergency crews were called to a Kirkcaldy fire after a motorbike was set alight near Nether Street.

The incident is between Nether Street and the beach at Pathhead.

According to witnesses, two fire crews and two police cars were at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesman said efforts are being made to contact the bike’s registered keeper.

He said: “Police in Fife were called to Dysart Road in Kirkcaldy at around 8.45am following reports of a motorbike on fire.

“Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and the motorbike was quickly extinguished. No-one was injured as a result of the blaze.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident reference number 0579 of 13 September.”
