Levenmouth police have renewed an appeal for a motorist to get in touch with them, following an incident in Methil last month.

Officers wish to trace the driver of a small silver car, now believed to be an older style Seat Ibiza, who intervened when a youth was seen to throw items at a Stagecoach bus, on or near to Methilhaven Road, around 8.15 p.m. on Thursday, November 6.

Sergeant Michael Collins, from Levenmouth Police Station, appealed to the driver to contact police and said: “Our enquiries reveal the driver of this car is male, about 30 years of age and wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit with stripes down the arms. He was also wearing a light coloured tammy”.

The sergeant added: “We need to contact the driver of this car, who intervened in the incident and who subsequently spoke with two male youths on Hawthorn Street, Methil, at the time.

“I would appeal for him or anyone who recognises the description of the male or the car to contact the police on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”.
