CONCERN: Contamination on the 'Old Kinglassie Road' path in Stenton is still a concern to residents

The site of a previous tip used to for discarded builders rubble is thought to be the reason for discoloured pools of liquid appearing on a popular footpath.

Puddles of rust coloured water are the cause for concern on the walk way, known locally as the ‘old Kinglassie road’ and have been baffling residents and members of the local community council for several years now.

Peter Scobie, chair of the Pitteuchar, Stenton and Finglassie Community Council told the Gazette that tests had been carried out several years ago to the area but failed to find a source for the contamination, but would continue to try to find a solution for the problem which is of particular concern to dog walkers.
