CELEBRATIONS are in order for a Leven teenager and his student colleagues at Adam Smith College.

Robbie Cunningham (19) recently completed the Prince’s Trust programme and was awarded his certificate at a ceremony at the college’s St Brycedale Campus in Kirkcaldy.

The 12-week course saw eight students embark on a series of tasks to boost their skills and help the community, including revamping the gardens at Balfarg Nursing Home in Glenrothes.

Robbie (pictured centre) said: “I came on the course to boost my confidence and to help with my reading and writing.

“I now feel more independent and I am now able to read and write more confidently.

“I will use the skills I have gained to go on to college or get a full-time job.”

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is available to 16–25 year olds who are not in employment, further education or training.
