Fife Gingerbread, based in Leven, recently received a generous donation of £250 from Jim Leishman, Provost of Fife.

For several years, instead of sending out Christmas cars, Mr Leishman has chosen small local charities to donate money to instead, a sentiment which the charity echoed last month, donating £110 to the UNICEF Philippines typhoon disaster appeal.

Fife Gingerbread plans to use the money to help with volunteer development, and Michelle Campbell, volunteer coordinator, said “The donation is a welcome boost.”
