A public consultation is due to take place next week to give locals a chance to comment on housing plans in Leven’s town centre.
The event will be held on Monday evening between 4.30 - 7.30p.m. in The Centre, Leven,to allow local residents to view and comment on design proposals for the development of 14 new build homes at North Street, Leven.
The proposal is for Fife Council to purchase completed units from the private developer, and for these be made available for social rent.
The development proposed will include a mix of two two-bed cottage flats, four one-bed cottage flats, six two-bedroom houses and two three-bedroom houses.
The ground, next to the derelict former Three Ways Inn pub, has been vacant for a number of years following the demolition of the Scottish Gas showroom.
It is the second of two affordable housing projects to have been announced in Levenmouth in recent weeks, with official plans to build 101 new affordable homes at Steelworks Brae in Methil proposed last month.
Affordable Housing Programme staff will be on hand at the event to answer any queries that you may have.
Anyone who cannot attend the meeting on Monday afternoon can still comment on the plans can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Thomas Murphy on 03451 55 55 55 ext 442509.
